Our story
We are a 4th generational, family-run business who pride themselves on being innovators and never compromising on quality.
Based in Hertfordshire, UK, we have over 90 years of experience and produce both private label and branded products. Our flagship pasta brand, Dell'Ugo, offers a wide range of premium chilled pastas and a range of healthy allergen-free products.
Our heritage
1921
Luigi Ugo left his home in Tortona, at the age of 14, heading to London
1932
Potato gnocchi was first introduced to the UK
1958
Leo Ugo, son of Luigi, joined the company
1998
Production moved to a brand new, state-of-the-art factory in Hertfordshire
1967
The first Organic & Whole-wheat pasta was introduced in the UK
1929
Luigi opened his first Delicatessen on Gerrard St, Soho, making fresh pasta in the window of his shop
1952
Luigi moved his operation to a purpose-built factory in Holloway, London
1959
Ugo supplied the John Lewis Partnership for the first time, a partnership that continues to this day!
1993
Paul Ugo, Luigi's grandson, becomes the 3rd generation of the Ugo family to lead the business
2007
Ranked 5th in the Sunday Times 'Best Small Companies to work for'
2017
Hertfordshire Business Awards: First place in the 'Family business of the year award'

Sophia Cooke becomes CEO of Ugo Foods, and Paul Ugo becomes chairman
